Overview

Responsible for analyzing, collecting, and reporting sales data to support the on-going efforts to increase sales productivity and sales results. This an essential resource to the team to help fulfill needs and develop further and leverage product offerings and value-added product lineup while providing best-in-class sales and service to core customers.  This is a data-driven role that requires a balance of market analysis, budget management, and industry expertise.

Essential Duties:  Essential duties noted below may vary by position and/or client needs.

 

Reporting/Support Functions - Participate in the activities involved in providing quality support and reporting services to assigned internal/external departments (e.g., Operations, Sales, Analytics, etc.) while ensuring adherence to corporate and departmental policies and procedures

  • Collect, analyze, and report data to increase sales productivity and evaluate performance measured against the forecast
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to develop a thorough understanding of products, users, and channels
  • Effectively present and communicate analysis to sales, customers, and client to drive business decisions
  • Monitor, optimize, and report on marketing and growth metrics; complete category reviews and/or planograms as needed to support data
  • Analyze and create data driven recommendations for item facings, and placement based on analytics and brand strategies for categories while addressing profitability and ease of execution.
  • Build core assortment of planograms
  • Conduct fact-based analysis to offer space/product recommendations and business opportunities
  • Run exploratory analysis to uncover new areas of opportunity, generate hypotheses, and quickly assess the potential upside of a given opportunity
  • Help execute projects to drive insights that lead to customer, seller, and catalog growth
  • Analyze, forecast, and build custom reports to make key performance indicators and insights available to sales
  • Update and maintain internal/external systems with detailed and accurate customer, product, pricing, and sales data
  • Develop, generate, and distribute reporting as needed
  • Document customer/client notes in CRM with concise details timely and accurately
  • Research and resolve issues within scope of responsibility

 

  • Support the assigned sales team with other administrative tasks as requested

General Associate Job Responsibilities

  • Exercise exceptional customer service skills to optimize each contact with the client and customers
  • Ensure that all requests/tasks are responded to in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain required documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) on all processes updating regularly as needed
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of information provided by client and customers or data accessed within assigned systems
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of client's products and systems, as well as policies and procedures
  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with internal/external customers, client, team members and department contacts
  • Escalate to leadership any situation outside the employee’s control that could adversely impact the services being provided

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 or older and have a High School diploma or GED or equivalent education
  • Experience with program-specific software applications required
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Advance proficiency in problem-solving, strategic, analytical, and reporting skills preferred
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to develop mastery of multiple systems, the business and category knowledge
  • Ability to analyze customer and market needs and architect complete ideas or recommendations that support business in a simple format
  • Demonstrated experience gathering data from various sources and driving strategic insight
  • Expert in Microsoft Office with a high level of competency on Excel required
